Who's playing?
"Why is 0 called 'Love' in Tennis? ", he asked. "Because even if you lose, you play for the love of the game".
This phrase resonates with us to such extend that we decided to build a brand & community to cherish our unconditional love for the sport.
Love:Love Tennisclub is founded by Tennislovers that love the smell when opening a new can of balls, that love the feeling of a new griptape and that absolutely love hitting a forehand right in the sweet spot.
And we put all that Love into our Après-Tennis-Apparel that you will love to wear.
What's the mission?
Creating cool clothing is just a small part of the mission, though.
Blinded by the bright yellow tennis balls, we couldn't fathom the extent of environmental impact our beloved sport has on our planet. With a heavy heart we began our research on what's going wrong in the tennis world and what we could do about it.
Turns out, a major problem is the recycling process of tennisballs due to the way they are produced.
On a sunny day at the courthouse we stuck our heads together to come up with a solution.
The Solution
We came up with a solution. Kind of.
Since we are not a tennisball manufacturer nor have the right equipment to recycle the balls ourselves, it is hard to have an influence on the matter.
But we can always support the ones that do have an influence in the process.
10 % of all proceeds are donated to NGOs that specialize in the recycling of tennisballs, clean up projects or local sustainability projects.
Oh, and our clothes are made out of 100% Organic Cotton, produced in Portugal under fair conditions and colored with natural dyes. Everything from the stickers to the shipping bag and shipping method is the most environmentally friendly option we could have chosen.
Is that it?
Of course not ;)
We are still Tennis fanatics that want to see the sport thrive and stay relevant for decades to come.
That's why we're also supporting Foundations and Organisations that support all types of players to achieve their dreams.
Our donations help tennis equipment reach parts of the world that otherwise have no access to courts & racquets, or make tennis more accessible for selected groups of players.
